The work
GunanQ is used by faculty during exam season, which means the failure mode is not a bad quarter — it is a department that cannot publish results on time. That constraint shapes everything we build.
You will work across the stack: the grading workspace faculty spend hours inside, the pipelines that process scanned scripts, and the interfaces that decide what a student is allowed to see and when.
What we are looking for
- Three or more years building and running web applications in production
- Strong TypeScript, and a backend language you are genuinely fluent in
- An instinct for where state belongs and what should never be recomputed
- Care about the boring parts — migrations, error states, empty states, slow networks
What matters here
We do not ship a feature that publishes a grade without a human behind it. If you find that constraint interesting rather than annoying, you will fit.
